Hive Fleet Bzzz

The carnifex's body tumbled down into the deep ravine, the last
vestiges of psychic presence flickering out. Up above the
remaining broods of Tyranid organisms lost all cohesion and fled
back to their hiding places, may falling to Sergeant Telion
and the remains of his squad as he frantically sought the fate
of the creature he had come to know as 'Old One Eye'.

With a splash the dead monster plunged into the fast flowing
river at the base of the ravine and was swept away. After a
short distance the water way disappeared into the bedrock
carrying the huge creature below ground. Many kilometres later
an enormous cave opened out and the river slowed as it widened.
On one side a bank of debris and silt had built up and its
protrusions snatched at the corpse and brought it to a halt.

Regeneration. Wounds on the great body showed signs of healing.
Only where the flesh had been completely removed about its eye
socket did bone remain uncovered. The essential organs of the
beast started to function again and psychic consciousness
returned. Reaching out to the Hive Mind it once more felt
rejection and abandonment.

Knowing only that it needed proof of its worth to rejoin the great
host of the devourer, Old One Eye rose up once more, ready to
sow devastation on prey worlds...

If you are not afraid of death then you are either a liar or a Tyranid!

Coming soon:

Through the vagaries of the warp a Mecharachnid queen made love to a JCB digger on a bed of troll skins whilst being consumed by a swarm of Tyranid rippers.
